Peyton: I nod farewell to James. Without a single glance at Clarissa, I walk out of the kitchen and go to the movie room. Rixon is already in there watching a movie, so I sit down in a chair the farthest away from him. Rixon looks over at me for a second with a little hurt showing. My distance must have offended him, but I can't bring myself to care at the moment. We turn our attention to the mindless action movie playing and sit in silence.
