Zane: Should I go get some popcorn for us to enjoy during the movie?

William doesn't reply, watching the woman from earlier walk toward them.

"Well," she said with a smile. "We'll need to keep him here for likely a month, at least, but he'll heal up fine. By then he may still have issues with the broken rib but we never keep patients with broken ribs here because there's not much more we can do for that. Bottom line is he'll be fine. If you'd like, he is awake and you may speak to him if you wish."

Katie: That's great! What room is he in?

Zane: Alright. I'll be back in a few. I walk to the kitchen and start preparing the popcorn. When there is no longer a popping noise, I take the bag out of the microwave and pour the contents into a bowl. With popcorn and two bottles of water in hand, I return to Abbie.

William was walking before she stopped speaking.

Keynai opens his eyes and looks at the two as they walk in.

Katie: I look at Keynai for a moment before asking Keynai, how do you feel?

William smiles weakly. "In other words, he's okay."

Abbie had just finished setting the movie up and getting it to the menu screen. "Oh hey, that was fast" she sits on the couch and grabs the remote. "If you don't like it at any point we don't have to watch."

Zane: Alright. I sit beside Abbie and offer one of the water bottles.

Keynai nods and smiles a bit at Katie.

William stares at him, not sure what to think. He'd never seen Keynai smile as he was then and he'd practically grown up with him.

Zane: No problem.

Katie: Keynai's smile makes me extremely happy in that moment, causing my own to widen in response. In a way, I see the smile as further reassurance that he is going to be alright, even though the kind doctor already told William and me so. Aside from that, it seems to show that Keynai is beginning to move on from the bad things in his past, something that I struggle with. With a glance at William, I see him staring.

I'm back again! I feel bad that I said I would be on more then completely disappeared. No promises will be made this time, but I will try to get on more. And sorry for this weak little post, I guess I am out of practice, though my other posts usually don't look much better.

William hugs Keynai, careful not to hurt him more.

Keynai was a bit surprised at first but slowly hugged back, though he felt a bit awkward.

During the movie abbie eventually scoots closer to Zane and leans against him some before looking up at him with a smile.
