Shade: tried to help Silver but there was nothing he could do.

Snowy: cried into Silver's fur until Shade hastily warned her the hunter was returning for the body. She runs off, looking back over her shoulder at the limp body saddly.

Shade: looks for Korbinian or Raven once they get back to the pack.

Korbinian is in his den while Raven sits in a tree outside the den.

Snowy: Now my pups will never know their father, and I will have to raise them alone. Tears fall to the floor of her den And mom will tell me I made this mess for myself by associating myself with him.

Raven No you don't. She smiles. No, they won't know their father... but at least you'll be able to tell stories about him. At least you're not one of the wolves that never knew the father of their pups. At least you're not alone. Not completely. A pack is like an entire family. We care for and love eachother. When one of us is hurt we're all there to help them and get them through the hard times. Of course not all pack may do this... But it's what a true pack does and we are a true pack. We will share your pain and cry with you. She gently nudges Snowy, smiling. And you didn't make any mess by associating yourself with him. Love is love and you can't predict anything like this will happen anyways. Just know that Korbinian and I would always be willing to help you if you need it, whenever you need it. He's like dad and doesn't talk much but he can be very helpful and caring.

Raven We are the ancestors of the dog. In my eyes, we're related to them so heck anyone says something to you about that throw that in their face! Man, we created the dog species! She laughs. They'll still have that wolf look and instinct anyways. Who said a dog couldn't join a wolf pack anyways?

Snowy: I agree. I think it is out of fear that humans will follow dogs that they are rejected by packs.
