Prince Of The Pack

Story (BTW the pack wolves are known as Spirit Wolves because of their beliefs and pack name: Spirits of The Wolves)

Two weeks ago the Alpha was killed during a hunt with the Beta. Whether it was just another tragic hunting accident or murder, no one knows. The Beta came back unscathed with no blood on himself at all so it is believed that the Alpha wasn't murdered by him. There were wounds that showed the Alpha had been scratched by a hoof and possibly by claws.

The prince has now taken control over the pack with the help of his two brothers and sister. He is the youngest and has the least experience with running a pack, but it was the Alpha's dying wish that he become the new Alpha. Why he chose the less experienced, no one knows.

Ever since the prince took over, things have gone downhill. The rain has caused mudslides and floods in the valley where we live. Many wolves have been murdered by who knows what. A new wolf claims the Phantom Wolves from the north are coming to declare a fight over the territory. He says he's from the Shadow Wolves from the east, which is the last place they took over. He was lucky enough to escape with just missing an ear, eye and paw.

Will the prince be able to defeat the Phantom Wolves? Can he bring back what was once our lovely pack lands?

Lyanori lays in his den, thinking about his father.

Bone walks in. Lyanori, you must forget about the past and worry about the future. We must prepare for the next flood and the Phantom Wolves.

[Katara-]

River: sits on a large rock that she could tell had been worn down and smoothed from countless years of rainfall, she looked around her, was it always this rainy here? Is there apack nearby or had she been misinterperating the signs around her? She rises to her feet and leaps from rock to rock and bounds through some trees only to find herself in the middle of a wolf packs camp, she freezes, waiting for them to attack her, she could sense the sorrow everyone was feeling

[Wulf-Gurl]

Bone A wolf has entered the pack lands. What would you like to do?

Lyanori I'll go to it. Stay near. He gets up and walks out of his den. Lyanori walks up to River. A loner or a wolf from the Phantom Pack?

Bone walks at Lyanori's side. He keeps his eyes on River, ready to attack if needed.

[Katara-]

River: tilts her head to the side, what in the world is a phantom pack? I guess i would have to consider myself a loner but i am not a loner by choice

[Wulf-Gurl]

Bone Haven't you heard of the Phantom Wolves? They are a pack that is going around killing off others to gain territory.

[Katara-]

River: no I have not, I am originally from a pack very far east of here, these tyrants must be farther west than I have ever bothered to venture

[Wulf-Gurl]

Lyanori So you are from the Shadow Wolves. The ones that just got killed off. The Phantom Wolves are from the north.

[Katara-]

River: shakes her head, no, farther east than the shadow wolves, I have traveled Many moons to get here.

[Wulf-Gurl]

Lyanori The Shadow Wolves are pretty far.

Bone Not to be rude, but we must prepare for another flood. I see storm clouds in the distance.

Lyanori sighs. Feel free to pass through but you might not want to stay in the valley when the storm arrives. He howls and the pack follows behind him. They head toward the mountains.

[Katara-]

River: waits until they are out of sight and follows far behind, she felt unwelcomed so she did not want to be to close, she sighs as she walks

[Wulf-Gurl]

The rain starts pouring down and they aren't even close to the mountains.

Bone yells through the thunder, Stay together! Keep an eye out for mudslides so we know not to go near the mountains!

[Katara-]

River: breaks into a run, she is soon near the others

[Wulf-Gurl]

Sira Look at the trees on the mountains! They're moving! It's a mudslide!

Cliff Behind us there's another!

Lyanori looks at Bone, unsure of what to do.

Bone We need to get to high ground!

Lyanori The only high ground is the mountains! We have nowhere to go! We're trapped!

[Katara-]

River: stops beside the pack, trying to think of something.g

[Wulf-Gurl]

Everyone looks around frantically.

[Katara-]

River: looks confused

[Wulf-Gurl]

Lyanori Everyone try to leave the valley before the mud gets here!

Everyone starts running behind Lyanori.

[Katara-]

River: runs but she isn't very concerned

[Wulf-Gurl]

Lyanori and his pack make it out. They all fall to the ground from the tiring run.

Bone walks around to make sure everyone made it. He walks to Lyanori. We have an extra.

Lyanori Extra?

Bone motions to River. It appears she followed us the entire time.

Lyanori It was a smart move.

[Katara-]

River: I am terribly sorry I did not know what else to do I will get off of your territory as soon as I have a quick rest

[Wulf-Gurl]

Lyanori Nah, it's not a problem. Stay as long as you like but I'm sure the mudslide has changed your mind. He sighs.

[Katara-]

River: no I will stay with any pack that will have me around!

[Wulf-Gurl]

Bone Why wouldn't a pack want you around. Realized he said that out loud and hoped she didn't get any ideas of what he was really thinking from it. He acts like he meant to say it out loud.
