Aura A group of humans knew we were shifters. They'd been following us around for weeks. When they finally decided to attack, me and my brother ran. He thought he'd made a turn into an alley near a police station but he hadn't. It was, in fact, an alley but it was a dead end. We had to fight our way out. I always carried a dagger then because I knew they'd eventually attack. I swung around, thinking there was another behind me, but it wasn't one of them. It was my brother. The others ran off soon after and I knew I couldn't get my brother to the hospital in time... He had me leave before he really died... He gave me this. She takes the neklace off. It was a silver chain with golden letter charms dangling from it. They spelled out "Artial." Beside the first "A" and the "L" was a wooden charm, probably hand carved, that was in the shape of a circle. It had a human on the left of the circle and a dog on the right of the circle. It was a sign most used for shifters. He always wore it.

Aura He was. He didn't care who saw the necklace, even though it gave him away. She puts it back on. And you should never be ashamed of what you are, even if people don't agree with it.
