Story

A Shifter should have an easy time in a world like this. Actually, they don't. Shifters have to be careful of who they tell their secret to. Humans know of the Shifters' existance, but they hate us because of the war that had recently ended. We still hide. We're afraid of what they might do to us. Shifters have been killed, even tortured, because of the humans' hatred. Not many hate us, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Some Shifters take the form of an animal while others stay in the form of a human. I chose the life of an animal. I wander the streets as a stray dog. It's not easy with the dog catchers always driving around, but I still make it. I haven't seen many Shifters around lately. Rumors say the Shifters' population is decreasing. That few are left in the world. I search for others of my kind for this reason. I want to prove them wrong. I hope they're wrong...

* Shifters can only shift into humans and animals.
* A Shifter's true form is anything you choose. It could be animal-like or human-like.
* When weak, the true form is what a Shifter becomes.

James: is walking around as a "cat" he had learned to make himself appear as a cheetah print cat around peiple, he looks around

Kyler hears a car stop behind him. He stops and looks behind him. Kyler runs, seeing it's the dog catcher. Looking back, he notices he's losing the dog catcher. Yes! He runs into Nessa and Maxie by accident.

Zenzi sees James. That's not a fur pattern you see everyday.

[Ghost-]

Nessa: stumbles a little as he runs into her and Maxie but quickly regains her balance Hello.

Maxie: had been fallen when she was ran into. She gets back up

Kyler H- The dog catcher comes up from behind and puts a rope around his neck. Great...

[Katara-]

James: er...uhhh...well....

Zenzi giggles. So that'll be your explanation for me?

Maxie: Excuse me, (Sir/Ma'am). This is my dog. He just slipped out of his collar when he saw a cat while we were on our walk. She pulls a black collar out of her bag. I would really appreciate if you could let him go. She smiles at the dog catcher.

Nessa: looks at Kyle and wags her tail like she was happy to see an old friend

Dog Catcher Oh, sorry about that. You should put it on tighter if he's slipping out of it. Takes the rope off and walks off to his truck.

Kyler looks at them, head tilted.

[Katara-]

James: uhhh....yeah....

Zenzi You could claim to be a hybrid, you know.

Nessa: Maxie doesn't care much for dogs being taken to the pound. By the way, I'm Vanessa.

Maxie: ^Wow, they fall for it everytime.^ She drops the collar back in her bag.
