Madelyn looked out the window as they approached the school. Her palm was on her chin, and her elbow was on the arm rest under the window. She watched as her mother drove them to the front of the school. "We're not even on time. Why don't you just take us back home, and we can try again tomorrow." Her mother looked behind the seat, and over to her daughters face. She was now looking at her best friend since the 2nd grade, who was shaking his head, trying not to get her in trouble. "Now, Madelyn. You should be happy that you're here with Zan-....." Madelyn's thoughts trailed off, and when she saw that her mother had stopped talking, she grabbed her bag, and her sports bag, and got out of the car. She looked back to see her mother waving, she didn't wave back, she waited for Zane, and then started to walk to the office.

Zane watched Madelyn, as he walked beside her. Hoping that she wouldn't be to antisocial in class. He walked with her to the office, and they received their classes, and started to walk over to gym. Zane was nervous, and saw that Madelyn was too. He moved his hair out of his face, and patted her shoulder. "You will do just fine. I'm sure you'll get along with the guys really well." He smiled, and opened the gym doors.

Zane laughed, and smiled at her. "Sorry about her. She is strange.." He chuckled, and started to walk to the locker room, and turned back. "Oh, by the way, Thank you, and I'm Zane." He smiled, and walked to the locker room.
