I am sorry to bother you but I felt I needed to tell someone...I was supposed to get a Chihuahua tomorrow but father doesn't want animals in the house and I...I have always wanted one and it is silly, please don't laugh but I just broke down into tears over it.

Because he is father...He has never liked animals...Especially indoor ones, that are small.

It can be an outdoor dog if wanted.Any dog can.You'd just have to provide it food and water.Tricks are optional, which you could offer to do yourself.The thing about an outdoor dog is it has to have shade (for the summer) and warmth (for the winter).The shade would be easy to provide but the winter might be a slight issue for a dog like a Chihuahua.And if you want it indoors, you could limit the places it is allowed to go.

My dad doesn't like smaller dogs either (I'm not a big fan of them,but I don't hate them).That's why we have Sparky.He's almost as tall as the baby gate (which separates him from the rest of the house except the basement) and it's only been about 2 months since we got him.

Rexx shrugs and goes to his tent to change.

Must not have as much as a stubborn family as I do...My family thinks that if we get an animal it will totally kill them.

They can be,but you have to understand that we've always had dogs throughout our lives.We are dog lovers.My mom had 3 in her 20s and my dad had about 5 or more growing up.I've had 1 since I was 3 or 4.It wasn't even a full day after Odie's death and we got a puppy from the Humane Society.
