Kapsirko is staring out into the forest. We were out hunting.It was the biggest deer we'd seen here.No one had gotten food for that day.It was getting dark,but we could get it easy.We were about to attack when it took off running.The pup ran after it.He was big for his age and could take down a young deer.Miara tried to stop him,but he was too quick.He ran out into the open and...The muttation got him.It was one of the poisonous ones.He died that night in the arms of Miara.

Miara had waken up.She had her back toward Zuko and was trying to hold back the tears but couldn't.

Kapsirko sighs. ^So many were lost that night...^
