Brandy: leaps out of the truck, narrowly avoiding smacking into Chad.

Lena: when she get out, she sees a wolf/dog hybrid looking at her

The hybrid: runs off into the woods

Brandy: Tries to comfort him

Quil: walks outside and runs in the direction the hybrid went in. A few minutes later, you can hear snarling. Quil comes back into view backing up from the hybrid.

Alue: takes a minute to recognize Quil but as she does, she stops snarling.
